Summary |
Rafe Beaumont, 5th son of the Earl of Haddington, is naturally seductive. Women flock to him, and he knows just how to get them to swoon. These skills were well utilized during the wars, when he seduced wives and mistresses of Napolean's confidants to glean secrets and battle plans. Now he's hot on the trail of Napoleon's most elusive assassin. Rafe must find him through his daughter, but she seems immune to flattery and entirely unseducible. Colette Fortier fled to England to start a new life, but doesn't fit in among the ton. When Rafe insinuates himself into her heart, promising unconditional friendship, Colette wants more than anything to trust him. But if she ever reveals her past to him, her lover may quickly become her killer... |
