SRP 2013 REVIEW: Interesting, but too violent for tweens. Glad I read it so I can talk with my kids about it. Also will not let them see the movies based on reading the books.

SRP 2013 REVIEW: Katniss Everdeen has survived, even if her home has not. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 exists. District 13 has come out of the shadows, and has plans to overthrow the Capitol. To help the rebellion, Katniss must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels' Mockingjay-no matter the personal cost. The story was very gripping, and kept me reading until the last page.

SRP 2013 REVIEW: Mocking Jay was the perfect ending for the Hunger Game trilogy. I thought that it was a sad ending for Katniss, the main character, but later on in her life she realizes that the odds were in her favor. I still believe the book is pretty good.
I expected something different! |

I was really excited for this book, being the third book in the Hunger Games series, but it really let me down. It wasn't a bad book, it's just that I thought the other two books were better, more entertaining, more suspenseful.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: This book to me wasn't as good as the first 2 books, but it concluded the story. Very interesting read.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: What a wonderful series! The Hunger Games books are really a literary hallmark of our generation. While Mockingjay was not my favorite of the three, it was certainly a fitting conclusion to the trilogy.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: This was, I thought, the move gory of all the books, but the ending was satisfying. I really did like the entire series and I look forward to discussing this with others who read it, including my daughters.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: Third book in the hunger games trilogy. I really liked it but I thought the first two were better. Deep themes of what's just in war.
September 11 2012
SRP 2012 REVIEW: Little disappointed, liked book 2 so much. Disappointed in ending, felt let down and this book seemed harder to follow. Did not like the Capital scenes at ending.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: An exciting "page turner" that keep me reading avidly for the few days that that it took to get through it. The third book in the Hunger Games trilogy is a bit different in concept (Katniss isn't a participant in a Hunger Games this time) and somewhat "grittier" than the first two. But anyone who has read and enjoyed the first two books will have a hard time putting this one down!
September 11 2012
SRP 2012 REVIEW: Very hard to get in to - didn't like it nearly as much as the first two Hunger Games books.
September 11 2012

SRP 2012 REVIEW: Its adventurous and has many action scens. And each chapter ends mysteriously so i want to keep reading to find out what happens.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: it wasn't exactly my favorite story in the series compared to catching fire adn the hunger games, but the book was pretty much in my hand the whole night right after i started reading. I loved how the author always puts the story in one person's view instead of jumping everywhere into another character's perspective so abruptly. I also liked how she wasn't exactly clear about what happened in some parts along the story so the reader could try to guess what happened and feel some triumph if they guessed correctly. overall this was a great book.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: It is very suspenseful! That's why I like it.
September 06 2012
SRP 2012 REVIEW: It had a lot of drama and romance and lots of twists and turns and when ever a chapter ended you knew that something big was going to happen and that was the best part
September 06 2012
SRP 2012 REVIEW: This book was my favorite because it was exciting, thrilling, suspenseful and you never knew what was going to happen next. I also loved the characters in the book. They were easy ot relate to too.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: Everyone is counting on the Mocking Jay, Katniss Everdeen. Wherever Katniss is, terrible things happen and things get destroyed mostly by fire and bombs. The capitol is hunting her down. They think she can't get away with this. Katniss will have to fight her hardest if she is to win, but this is no Hunger Games, it's something else this time, President Snow. Who will Katniss defeat in the end?
September 06 2012
SRP 2012 REVIEW: It is a well-written book that sums up the amazing trilogy, and although it is very depressing, that is replaced by the nonstop action and intense battles.
September 06 2012
SRP 2012 REVIEW: It's really exciting and entertaining, but some parts are like epicly intense, but others are so insanely sad that you have to love it and hate it at the same time. Its such a great book

October 19 2011

October 19 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: I loved this story because it was very suspenseful and exciting. It was the perfect ending to the Hunger Games trilogy and it tied together all the loose ends in the other two.
October 19 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: This is the last book of the Hunger Games series. It is highly suspenseful, and the characters have to make tough choices. It is very very very good.
October 19 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: It's okay, but probably the worst of the three in the series.
October 19 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: I liked this final book in the Hunger Games because it let the reader know what happened after the Hunger Games. How the rebellion fared against the Empire of Panam.
October 18 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: There are way more deaths than the first and second book combined. Also there are military forces involved.
October 18 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: As the final book of The Hunger Games trilogy, I was hoping for an unforgettable finale. However, I was disappointed by the politics in the book that made the action slow and tedious at times. I also wasn't a fan of the ending.
October 18 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: It was a great end to the series.
October 18 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: It was an awesome book and had a lot of action and it was fun to read
October 18 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: I really enjoyed The Hunger Games Trilogy but I was a little disappointed with how the whole thing ended in this, the final book of the series. I thought there was a lot of action throughout the first 90% of the book, which matched how the first two books were, but then the final few pages wrapping up the whole story seemed a bit anti-climactic and just didn't end the way I was hoping.
October 18 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: Definitely a disappointment in light of the previous two installments of the series, but it's still a great book. If you struggled through the violence in Catching Fire, then you definitely want to let this book be.
October 18 2011
SRP 2011 REVIEW: I loved this book series, and Suzanne Collins writing got me interested from the beginning. The ending seemed to come to quickly for me, but I loved the rest of the book.
