SRP 2013 REVIEW: This is an amazing story of a boy who had a heroic Skandian father who died, and an Araluen mother who was originally brought to Skandia as a slave, but his father freed her and married her. This book shows a part in the boy's life when he goes through brotherband training, which is how a Skandia boy becomes a man.
