Summary |
Elemental: Reimagine Wildfire takes you on a journey nationwide to better understand wildfire, prepare, and become fire-safe. The film opens with survivors who take you along on their harrowing escape from Paradise, California as the town ignited from wind-driven embers and burned within a few hours of the fire's start. The film presents real solutions that people can do to their homes and communities to prevent the destruction experienced in recent fires in Oregon, Colorado, California, Hawaii, Washington, and the world through the voices of firefighters, Indigenous firefighters, and earth and climate experts. The film answers how we live with wildfire in an increasingly hotter, drier future narrated by David Oyelowo. Filmed over 6 years and directed by Trip Jennings, a winner of dozens of awards for his films, including projects with National Geographic and PBS. |
