SRP 2011 REVIEW: Starts off with folks getting killed--really holds your interest! Great story about a mysterious transparent dome that settles over a New England city--one that is impervious to bombs, bullets, etc. What do they do? Where can they turn? Very good story by the master.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: My first foray into Stephen King (outside of the many film adaptations of his work) has been thrilling, disturbing, and humorous. His story of a small town cut off from the world by a mysterious invisible dome seems simple on its premise, but of course things quickly spiral out of control. The most sinister force at play is not supernatural at all, but human. King's human villains are sick and twisted, which of course makes for some excellent, page-turning reading! The ending was a little bit anticlimactic, but I enjoyed the book as a whole.

SRP 2010 REVIEWS (3): #1) Not King's best work, in my opinion. The story was a little predictable, as odd as that sounds, but the narrative and character development were rather good. #2) I loved this book. Reminiscent of "The Stand" but with less religious imagery. Extremely long, but it's a page-turner. I highly recommend this book. #3) Anyone who loved "The Stand" will love this book also!
