Summary Although first settled in 1831, Naperville was incorporated in 1857, when the first official records of the village were kept. This document includes the articles of incorporation as a village and the minutes of village council meetings through April 26, 1870. Hand-written records have been transcribed and indexed by name and subject to facilitate research into the unfolding of the progress and activities of the community through its civic leaders.
