Summary |
At the age of twelve, Georgia O'Keeffe announced she was going to be an artist. She loved capturing the world as she saw it, and she couldn't imagine a future which didn't include art. Her passion took her far from home, to boarding schools with strong art programs and then to professional art schools. Even when she faced sickness and hard times, from her childhood in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, through her art education and rise to fame, to the American southwest where she found never-ending inspiration, Georgia didn't give up on her dream. She knew she was meant to be an artist. |
