SRP 2013 REVIEW: I'm normally not into non-fiction, but this book was fantastic! Larson describes the glamour of the Worlds' Fair and the murderer who prowled its grounds perfectly.

SRP 2013 REVIEW: A capturing story that plays the elegance of the Chicago's World Fair against the horrors of murder in the turn of the century. Larson skillfully crafts a book in which you keep wanting more until the final page is turned.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: A friend recommended it to me. It was not one of my favorites. It contained too many side stories and historical references for my taste.

SRP 2010 REVIEW: This work presented a deep and electrifying history of Chicago during its prominent days hosting the World Exposition. The juxtaposition of an ambitious architect and a deceitful murderer, the reference to several well-known innovaters like Susan B. Anthony, Nikola Tesla, and Henry Floyd Wright, and a plethora a vivid details depicting important events captured my attention throughout the novel. Indeed Larson created a masterpiece in the realm of non-fiction, integrating several sources to tell a dark yet mind-blowing story.
