Summary |
A young woman visiting her father's homeland in the Soviet Republic of Estonia, discovers he's part of the dissident anti-Soviet underground. At first repelled by the country's lack of luxuries, her compassion grows when she learns Christmas is not allowed to be celebrated, the churches are closed, and the citizens are living in fear. She soon joins forces with the rebellion's leader and becomes engulfed in the struggle with the KGB. Based on historical fact, this is an inspirational movie of courage, compassion, and hope. |
