Once there, they find the expected delegation is not there to meet them. Arrangements to get to their destination of Petah Tiqva have not been taken care of either. They find their own ride and arrive instead at the remote town of Beit Hatikva. Stuck there until the next morning's bus, the band, lead by the repressed Tawfiq Zacharaya, gets help from the worldly lunch owner, Dina, who offers to put them up for the night. As the band settles in the best it can, each of the members attempts to get along with the natives in their own way. What follows is a special night of quiet happenings and confessions as the band makes its own impact on the town and the town on them. 521 8 MPAA rating: PG-13; for brief strong language. 538 DVD, region 1, widescreen (1.85:1) presentation; Dolby Digital. 546 Hebrew, Arabic and English dialogue, English subtitles; closed-captioned. 586 8 Awards of the Israeli Film Academy, 2007: Award of the Israeli Film Academy - Best Actor (Sasson Gabai) ; Best Actress (Ronit Elkabetz) ; Best Costumes (Doron Ashkenazi) ; Best Director (Eran Kolirin) ; Best Film ; Best Music (Habib Shadah) ; Best Screenplay (Eran Kolirin) ; Best Supporting Actor (Saleh Bakri) 586 8 Cannes Film Festival, 2007: Un Certain Regard - Jury Coup de Coeur (Eran Kolirin) 650 0 Bands (Music)|zEgypt|zAlexandria|vDrama|vVideodiscs. 650 0 Jewish-Arab relations|vDrama|vVideodiscs. 650 0 Villages|zIsrael|vDrama|vVideodiscs. 650 0 City and town life|zIsrael|vDrama|vVideodiscs. 650 0 DVDs. 655 7 Feature films.|2lcgft 655 7 Motion pictures|zIsrael.|2lcgft 690 FOREIGN FILMS (HEBREW), VIDEODISCS. 700 1 Bleiberg, Ehud. 700 1 Gal-Raday, Koby. 700 1 Jacoel, Guy. 700 1 Rachkowsky, Eilon. 700 1 Uzrad, Yossi. 700 1 Kolirin, Eran. 700 1 Gabay, Sasson. 700 1 Elkabetz, Ronit. 700 1 Bakri, Saleh. 700 1 Natour, Khalifa. 700 1 Shadah, Habib. 700 1 Ashkenazi, Doron. 710 2 July August Productions (Firm) 710 2 Bleiberg Entertainment (Firm) 710 2 Sophie Dulac Productions (Firm) 710 2 Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (Firm)
