SRP 2012 REVIEW: It was certainly an interesting premise--"Groundhog Day" meets "Mean Girls"--and there were some moments of real beauty and clarity. However, I was looking forward to a clear sort of redemption, and we just got barely a glimpse I felt like. I was a little disappointed at how long it took for the character to finally see herself, and how little we see of the change in her.

SRP 2010 REVIEWS (2): #1) I thought this was a great book, and I'm glad I listened to the recommendation and read it. The plot is a cross between the movies Mean Girls and Groundhog Day, where the main character has to relive the day she dies over and over again, meanwhile metamorphosing from teenage jerk to compassionate person. I know some of it sounds kind of cheesy, boring and stupid, but it's not. At all. So I would most definitely recommend reading this book. #2) I thought that the overall book was very good, but the characters and situations are not that good for middle school readers. The book had a good ending. Sam Kingston is planning to have a good day, but it turns out to be her last. After a car crash, Sam lives her last day over 7 times total and has to make things right.Uplifting.
