SRP 2010 REVIEW: I recently decided that I wanted to read many Tony Award winning plays like Take Me Out and History Boys. I had never seen August: Osage County even though it premiered at the Steppenwolf theater in Chicago before it went to Broadway and became a huge hit. This is a dark tragicomedy that deals with a dysfunctional family that must cope with alcoholism, drug abuse, incest, and guilt among many other varying themes. The play is expertly written, and has a gut-wrenching poetic conclusion. I would recommend this book to theater lovers everywhere.
