This ia a valuable addition to a Storytime about sea animals. The description of a gray seal is a lively readaloud with art so realistic, the drawings look like photographs. The author includes fact tidbits on most pages to supplement the larger-fonted prose. The seal's dozy life above the water is very different from its athleticism below the water. The book includes a simple index at the end. See What a Seal Can Do is an attractive nonfiction choice for younger readers. Grades K-3. (cje)
