SRP 2013 REVIEW: It was great, as with all of his books in the Robert Langdon series. A little long but well worth it because of the great story line. Really gets you pondering the world around us.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: The formula for this novel is very similar to The DaVinci Code. There is the bad guy/zealot who is trying to find a source of power and wisdom. He kills anyone who gets in his way. Locating the power/wisdom relies on finding and deciphering clues, codes, and symbols. Robert Langdon is drawn into this situation aginst his will by forces he can't control. Robert has joined forces with a woman (Katherine) to address the situation. The authorities (the CIA) are after Robert and Katherine, and eventualy, the zealot. There are more similarities, but these examples make the point. Nonetheless, I found the novel to be very fast paced and fascinating. It is told with a lot of historical perspective. So much of the novel is based on fact that it is difficult to tell where the fact ends and the fiction begins. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and recommend it highly.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: Slow to start, but pulls you in after the 3rd chapter. Full of fun facts and a great story, but lacks a strong finish.

SRP 2010 REVIEWS (8): #1) He is able to write in a compelling way, but it feels somewhat like a formula. By the end, I wasn't enjoying it as much. #2) I enjoyed this suspenseful thriller. The action is almost non-stop, intersperse with Brown's random facts and musings. #3) Great read! Makes you think about many ideas. #4) Another book similar to "The DaVinci Code" and "Angels and Demons", but I like that it's set in Washington D.C. and you learn things about this country's buildings. Good suspense. #5) It shows Washington D.C. and the history of the U.S. from a different perspective. #6) Great read until the end. Weak ending. #7) I liked it. It was not quite as good as its predecesor, The Da Vinci Code, even though it was somewhat of a sequel it said. But it was a fast read and interesting as all his Robert Langdon books are. Always a great blend of true facts with an interwoven story plot. This time, the plot was not quite as interesting and the ending a little disappointing. #8) I liked this book, but I did not enjoy it as much as I liked The DaVinci Code or Angels and Demons. Some of Professor Langdon's dialogue made my eyes glaze over. I don't remember as much of that in the other two books.
