SRP 2012 REVIEW: Good book about the men who flew B24 bombers in WWII. It profiles George McGovern, who won highest military honors for his feats of bravery and skill as a pilot. It also gives you an inside look as to what it was like in those planes--definitely NOT luxury. They were unheated, unpressurized and UNCOMFORTABLE. Temperatures at flying levels were often 25 to 30 degrees BELOW ZERO!!! How did they manage? Read the book!

SRP 2011 REVIEW: Interesting description of the WWII bomber pilot training, the terror of flying missions, and the contributions that they made to defeating Germany.
