Series Meg Langslow mysteries
Andrews, Donna. Meg Langslow mysteries ; 07.
Summary Croquet is a genteel game, usually played on a summer afternoon on a tranquil green lawn. Extreme Croquet is a whole other story. That's what Meg Langslow and her new friends are playing on the several-acre farm of her new neighbor, a countryside studded with rocks, steep hills, and placid, seemingly immovable cows. While this society game can get quite warm, it hasn't reached the stage of actual homicide--at least not until Meg knocks her ball down a small cliff and encounters the body of a dead woman.--From publisher description.

SRP 2010 REVIEW: Apparently this is a Meg Langslow mystery. It was okay. Quick easy read. The murder mystery did not have much character development so the actual murderer did not have much motivation to commit murder. Also, I realize the book is suppose to be somewhat humorous but why is everybody so nonchalant about a murder committed on their property by their own neighbors? Shouldn't there be some fear, some appall? Eh-it's a summer read!
