Summary Campbell blends her personal narrative of spiritual seeking, trials, stumbles, and breakthroughs with the stories of six women saints who profoundly changed her life: Teresa of Avila, Therese of Lisieux, Faustina of Poland, Edith Stein of Germany, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, and Mary of Nazareth. Drawing upon the rich writings and examples of these extraordinary women, the author reveals Christianity's liberating power for women and the relevance of the saints to the lives of contemporary Christians.

Bringing the saints into your life X
April 12 2013
I enjoyed this book tremendously. If anyone questions what the saints mean to catholics, they should read this book. We do not worship them, but turn to them for inspiration in our daily lives. Colleen Campbell shows that at first glance we may not be able to relate to them, but then shows finding deeper meaming that we can apply to our own situations. She shows what it means to lead a truely catholic life it our times. She is an inspiration to us all.If you enjoyed this, you will also enjoy Fr. James Martin's "My Life with the Saints". He too shows how he got inspiration from different saints through his life.I recommend both of these books for any one who wants to find deeper meaning in their lives. For the non-catholics, they will gain a better understanding of who we really are.
