Also known as Canoga, this old favorite has been enjoyed in European pubs and homes for centuries. The gorgeous, solid wood playing tray measures 9" by 5", and has nine separate swinging wooden tiles - marked in print and Braille from 1 to 9. Each Braille number is made with large metal dots, which are embedded right into the wood - so it'd take someone with real determination (and a chisel) to get them out. And in front of the numbered doors (built right into the game board) is a large, velvet-lined dice-rolling area - a feature that will make this self-contained game your first choice for long drives or bus rides. Shut the Box is a challenging dice game of skill and luck for any number of players. The object is to close as many numbered boxes as possible, according to a throw of the dice. You can close any combination of boxes - but the numbers you pick must equal the sum of the dice. To keep score, just add up the values from the remaining unclosed boxes; and the person with the lowest score after five rounds is the winner! This is an awesome family game - adults can play for the pot, and kids will get practice manipulating numbers and sums. Included are two regular wooden dice, and a pair of Tactile Dice - so the whole family can join in the fun.
