Twelve-year-old Meggie learns that her father, who repairs and binds books for a living, can "read" fictional characters to life when one of those characters abducts them and tries to force him into service.
SRP 2011 REVIEW: The reason I enjoyed Inkheart is because I could easily relate to the characters. The main character (Meggie) loves to read like me. Also, the genre of this book (fantasy) is my favorite genre, making it an easy choice of a book to read. Overall, the book was very good and full of suspense and emotion.
