SRP 2013 REVIEW: It is fiction but is is about Ernst Hemingway and his first wife in Paris in the 1920's. Fascinating book and has prompted me to read several of Hemingway's early books.

SRP 2013 REVIEW: read this from a previous recommendation. very good historic fiction - in voice of ernest hemmingway's first wife, when he was still unknown and they moved from america to paris, becoming part of the 'lost generation' group that made paris what it was, post-WWI, and the beginning of his fame.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: Based on the true story of Hadley, Ernest Hemmingway's first wife. Their marriage and how Ernest became the writer he was because of her. Good story - based on research - I am curious how much of it is true. I feel really bad for Hadley and all she had to deal with.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: I found this book to be simply wonderful. I adored "Loving Frank" and this is in the same light -- only the focus is Ernest Hemingway and his first wife, Headly.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: Fun fiction about Hemingway's first wife, Hadley. A peek into how Hadley could live with what was to become the most influencial (and pompous) modern American writer. A good pairing w/ Hemingway's A Moveable Feast.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: This is a must read if you love Paris, or Hemingway, or both. Even if you don't, this book is a marvelous introduction to Hemingway's first marriage, told from the point of view of his wife, Hadley. It is wonderfully researched, and beautifully told, as well as a necessary accompaniment to my favorite read of the summer: A Moveable Feast.
