The Mists of Avalon X
April 23 2011
My all-time favorite book! This epic novel of King Arthur’s court as told by the women in the storyline (Arthur’s mother Igraine, his aunts Viviane and Morgause, his half-sister Morgaine, his wife Gwenhwyfar, and others) spans three generations and addresses all the major aspects of the Arthur legend. Magic , mysticism and mythology weave together with the harsh realities of endless war. Worth the investment of time, and far better than any of the sequels!
