SRP 2012 REVIEW: Probably one of the most enjoyable books I've ever read. It's historical fiction and deals with the Island of Guernsey which was taken over by the Germans in World War II. Just absolutely a treat to read.

SRP 2010 REVIEWS (4): #1) This was a great book that will become a classic. The author's style and wit is perfect. The story is endearing, educational, funny, and heartwarming. I highly recommend this very different kind of book. #2) Couldn't put it down! So interesting to get a different view of the people who were trapped on that island for 5 years, and the lost art of pen pals. #3) This was an excellent book. I read it all in one sitting! I couldn't put it down once I got into it! #4) This was one of the most enjoyable book I have ever read. I did not know the Channel Islands were taken over by Germans during WWII. Memorable charachters.
