Title Defending Jacob : a novel / William Landay.

SRP 2013 REVIEW: I listened to this book on audio. Jacob is the son of a local prosecutor and is arrested for the murder of a classmate. The story of Jacob's trial is told chronologically. The effect that the trial has on Jacob's family is told retrospectively, via the grand jury testimony of his father. I think that is the better part of this story. This book is similar to The Good Father, a recent novel, and Before and After, which was written 15 or 20 years ago. I would recommend all three books.
