SRP 2010 REVIEW: Once again, Charles Dickens writes about an orphaned boy. His name is Philip Piprrip known to everyone as Pip. Nothing is as it seems in the book and there are some truly unforgettable characters who help shape the life of Pip. Two of my favorites are Miss Havisham, an older lady who was deserted by her fiancee on her wedding day. She wears her old wedding dress, her room is filled cobwebs, her wedding cake of many years is slowly being eaten by rats, and the clock remains at the hour she was to be wed. Estella is Miss Havisham's ward who is used to get even with men. This is Dickens at his best - a great story.
