SRP 2012 REVIEW: Seven year old Rachel, a Hawaiian girl in the late 1800's, is diagnosed with Leprosy, torn from her family, and banished to the Leper Colony on the island of Moloka'i. Initially she is angry and feels her life is over, but learns that life is what you make of it. The story follows the journey through her life, full of joys and sorrows. Very beautifully written and you feel for the characters.
