SRP 2011 REVIEW: I could really connect to this book because I remember in 5th grade when I studied the Civil War and that was the time period when this story took place. In the story Homer's brother is illegally sold into the war when Homer finds out this he goes after him to try to find his brother and bring him back.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: This book was really interesting because it told a story of a brave 12 year old boy who chased the army to find his brother. This story is good because it actually is based on fact, like how slaves had to be snuck across the country and into Canada to be free. It told about how army men got drunk because of medicine shows and some how, Homer P. Figg got involved in it all. This is a great book with a happy ending and I hope you read it.
