SRP 2012 REVIEW: This was in eBook form. I LOVED this book and would rate it a 6 if I could! Set in the late 50's in Communist China. It was very hard to put this book down.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: I had previously read Shanghai Girls, and this sequel fulfilled my need of knowing what happened to Joy! A great book that shows the devastation, starvation and suffering that so many people went through. Makes me appreciate all that I have.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: I love all of Lisa See's books. I just wish that there had not been so much time between when I read this book and when I read "Shanghai Girls" because the characters refer to a lot of things that happened in that book, but it was so long ago that I read it, that I did not remember most of what the characters were talking about. I wish they could have explained a little more about what happened in the previous books because I couldn't remember. I still loved the book though.
