SRP 2012 REVIEW: I enjoyed this novel for several reasons, chief among them being the fact that most of the novel ocured at sea, aboard the HMS Leopard. This adds excitement, and also showcases Jack Aubrey in his natural environment, where he is most at home and is at his best. This book also provides a boatload (get it?) of action and adventure, and even throws in an element of survival. All in all, this was one of my favorite installments so far in the wonderful Aubrey-Maturin series.
