Theo’s best friend April has gone missing. The police are hot on the case and so is Theo! As a legal whiz kid he jumps right in and launches his own investigation with the help of friends and his Uncle Ike. As the police find themselves at a loss Theo gains speed as he runs down clues to find his friend. The story is suspenseful and once the investigation heated up I had a hard time putting this book down! For grades 4-5.(mb)

SRP 2012 REVIEW: The follow-up to Kid Lawyer is not only an exploration of a kidnapping case from a lawyer's point of view, but, again, a witty book that will bew liked by fans of detective stories.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: I liked the book because right at the beginning they jump right into the scene of April not in her home. It also shows key skills that Theodore has as to being a detective.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: Written for 13-15 yr olds. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Simply written but sensitive in places. Bright 9 yr olds might enjoy it too.
