SRP 2013 REVIEW: This book is sequel to The Icebound Land, and ends the plot of Will and Evanlin being lost in Skandia. Halt and Horace have come to bring them back to Araleun, but they find themselves in the middle of a war between Skandians and Temujains. They must fight with the Skandians to ensure that Araleun is safe. This book has a lot of action, and wit, that is delivered by each of John Flanagan's books. So if you like action and thrills, read this book!

SRP 2012 REVIEW: I thought it did not quite live up to the other books in this series. Not as much quick action and predictable plots. And then at the end it seemed that there was a spark in John Flanagan's imagination and a few surprise twists left me begging for the next book.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: The fourth installment of the Rangers Apprentice series was filled with excitement! I liked how two new races were introduced (Skandians and Temujians). I also liked the war, in which Will played a big role.
