SRP 2013 REVIEW: Out of My Mind was a really good book about this 11 year who can't walk, talk or move anything of her body except her thumbs. Only her family and Mrs. V know what she is truly capable of. Everyone else underestimates her. This story is about all the difficulties she faces at school, home, everywhere. This book is awesome, I suggest that you read this book, it touched my heart.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: This should be a must read for everyone at any age. It's a juvenile book but the message is very deep and important. Loved the writing and following Melody's 5th grade year of immersion with other children.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: This story was a very bitter-sweet book, which means it was happy in a way that you wanted to cry. It was very touching. You will feel every one of the emotions that the character feels and will feel a change in your outlook on people and special needs kids. There are no boring parts because there is always something that goes on. Highly recommended!

SRP 2011 REVIEW: I liked and disliked this book for a few reasons.I liked the fact that the disabled person, Melody was succeeding. However I dislike the fact that Melody misses her flight because the story lost its sense of order and didn't make sense from then onward in the book.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: From the view of the main character: I've been in a wheel chair for most of my life. I can't speak or move. But words seem amazing! Their like snowflakes all different in their own ways. Yet I can only say a few sounds. I had no purpose in life, I couldn't even say I love you to my mom. Not until I started inclusion classes.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: It's about a girl who has cerebral palsy, and she cannot walk or talk. She has a photographic memory and she's remembered everything everyone has said to her. Once she gets a machine that helps her to speak on her own, she is overjoyed.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: This novel is really touching and has lots of feeling and good description on Melody's life. She was born that she couldn't speak or walk but she is one of the smartest kids but not everyone in her school knows that and thinks she has nothing in her brain. Find out how she deals her situation to become a shining star!

SRP 2010 REVIEWS (4): #1) A Story about a girl with cerebral palsy, and how her life changed when her family realized her ability to communicate using a computer. Amazing how she came out of her shell in the book. #2) Excellent insight to the brilliant mind of a child stricken with cerebral palsy. #3) This was a fantastic book and is now one of my favorites. I think that it shows that you should not judge a book by its cover and it made you think about how you should treat people with disabilaties. #4) This book was the best i read this summer! It was about a girl who has cerebral palsy, and she cant talk or move really so when she tries to say something she can only grunt and point. But her legs don't work and she can't hold anything in her hands for more than a few seconds. But for Christmas she get a translator.
