SRP 2010 REVIEW: This novel consisted of two main parts: detective/murder mystery ...and romance. The mystery part was really well done; there were so many twists that I had to read the whole book before I could figure out who the killer was. Violet's ability was also interesting to read about as she wasn't shunned by those who knew about it, but was also original in its own way. The romance part, on the other hand, I found to be rather boring. Girl falls in love with best friend, and then there's the whole "Does he love me back? I don't think so...boo-hoo, cry, cry" which takes up half the book. I mean, don't get me wrong, romance can be good sometimes, but don't you just occasionally want the main characters to be JUST friends? So, in summary, the mystery part was good, but the romance was a little cliche.
