SRP 2013 REVIEW: Prior to reading the Aviator's Wife, I knew little about the Lindbergh family other than the infamous Lindbergh kidnapping. I knew Charles Lindbergh was famous for his transatlantic flight, but was oblivious to the fact that he was such a pioneer to the aviation field. Despite Lucky Lindy's success, this book focused on Anne Marrow Lindbergh. To many, Anne was seen only as the aviator's wife, however, she was more than that. She was a successful aviatrix, a symbol of strength and courage, and a resilient woman. This book is beautifully written. While it is historical fiction, an incredible amount of research went in to creating it. Most importantly, it made me want to read more about the Lindberghs and especially Anne's novel Gift from the Sea.

SRP 2013 REVIEW: This was an interesting portrayal of a truly fascinating marriage. I thought it was interesting that the author chose to take artistic license by writing this as a novel rather than a biography.
