SRP 2012 REVIEW: I thought this was an interesting read. There was not necessarily anything very deep or meaningful about it, but it was enjoyable and went by quickly. Jean Kwok is brutal in her description of Kimberly and her mother's life, and that in itself lends the book a sense of reality . Read it for pleasure, and maybe a book report, but don't expect to come away feeling enlightened.
