SRP 2012 REVIEW: Just ok; nothing great. A bit slow to get some action, and then there was not very much.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: Very good book, makes you feel good after reading it. Shows the power of a loving family, even with all their pit falls. Well worth reading.

SRP 2011 REVIEW: To seasoned readers of Baldacci's Camel Club and other political thriller books, like myself, this book came as a real surprise. One Summer is a totally different genre, unlike anything else he's written. This is an emotional roller coaster of a ride, featuring love, death, reconciliation, terror and joy. The basic story is of Jack Armstrong, a dying cancer victim, who on his last days finds his wife Lizzie killed in a car accident. Left with 3 children, Jackie, Cory and Mikki, he realizes he CAN'T die, and fights back to a miraculous cure. But the real story comes after, as he tries to pull his family back together by taking them to his wife's childhood home . Here he discovers how out of touch he's been with his family, especially Mikki, and how rebuilding a lighthouse which was wife Lizzie's favorite becomes a quest to rebuild himself. On the way he encounters new love(Jenna), the terror of another near death and reconciliation. A real tear jerker!
