It is so pervasive in human interactions that attempts to study it are often met with ridicule. In the organization literature, followership, a complementary role to leadership, was often ignored until recently when scholars observed that followers have as much a role to play in the leader-follower relationship. Theoretical Perspectives of Strategic Followership focuses on one type of followership - strategic - which is an emergent phenomenon. Similar to leadership, followership has been defined as a role, process, and capacity. Indeed, others consider it as socially constructed. In addition to the definitions, the relatively sparse literature has identified antecedents, outcomes, and moderators of followership. The book combines both the macro (strategic management) and micro (psychological) foundations of strategic followership to encourage research not only among strategic management scholars but also those in the micro fields of organizational behaviour, human resources management, and industrial psychology. 545 0 Dr. David Zoogah is an Associate Professor at Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. 588 0 Print version record. 590 O'Reilly|bO'Reilly Online Learning: Academic/Public Library Edition 650 0 Followership. 650 0 Organizational effectiveness. 650 6 Subordination. 650 6 Efficacité organisationnelle. 650 7 Followership|2fast 650 7 Organizational effectiveness|2fast 776 08 |iPrint version:|aZoogah, David B.|tTheoretical perspectives of strategic followership.|dNew York, NY : Routledge, 2019|z9781138679863|w(DLC) 2018035395 |w(OCoLC)1048017203 830 0 Routledge studies in leadership research. 856 40 |uhttps://ezproxy.naperville-lib.org/login?url=https:// learning.oreilly.com/library/view/~/9781317191780/?ar |zAvailable on O'Reilly for Public Libraries 938 Askews and Holts Library Services|bASKH|nAH34864862 938 Askews and Holts Library Services|bASKH|nAH34864863 938 EBSCOhost|bEBSC|n1769605 938 YBP Library Services|bYANK|n15729396 938 YBP Library Services|bYANK|n15823257 938 YBP Library Services|bYANK|n15815740 994 92|bJFN
