| Summary |
Five college friends reunite in the Sierra Nevada mountains for a weekend wedding of two of their group. They are all on the cusp of 30-- in astrological terms their "Saturn return." The engaged couple have defied their friends' expectations, turning a long friendship into romance. Thirty-six hours before the wedding the long-lost sixth friend, the former soul mate of the bride and best friend of the groom, appears at the door. A world traveler now working in construction, he arrives uninvited with his recently paroled, ex-con buddy. As the group struggles to reacquaint themselves with their lost friend, everything begins to shift. One by one they begin to examine their own expectations, looking at themselves and their adult lives, and realizing true love looks nothing like they thought it would. |
