SRP 2012 REVIEW: This is a facinatingly detailed account of the life and reign of Elizabeth II. Covering her entire life through stages, Smith covers all aspects of the Queen's life, family, personal interests, and neutral treatment of the British Government. Elizabeth The Queen is not my typical summer read, but I am so glad that my "hold" finally came in. It is hard as an American to truely fathom a Royal Family and what a Queen can do for a country and Commonwealth's esteem. I have even more adoration and respect for this amazing women after reading this biography.

SRP 2012 REVIEW: This book seemed to be well researched and fair. Elizabeth is neither a saint or a sinner but is filling her role as she thinks is right. It is amazing how world leaders come and go but the queen goes on!
