Summary |
A newly reconstructed family moves into a little converted church in the country. Jean tries to convince her two children, Molly, a teenager with a post-traumaLc stress disorder, and Michael, her whiz-kid younger brother, that it'll be good for everyone. Maybe even for Heather, Dave's difficult six-year-old daughter, who has not spoken since a mysterious fire took her mothers life. Upon exploring their new land, the kids discover an old cemetery behind their home. Molly's paranoia intensifies as Heather becomes obsessed with a tombstone bearing her iniLals. Heathers behavior becomes unseCling as she develops a toxic friendship with what Molly suspects to be the spirit of a young girl who also lost her parents in a tragic fire over a hundred years ago. Molly seems to be the only one who sees and understands what is happening to Heather. As the parents grow skepLcal of her stories and her brother grows more and more concerned about her fragile condiLon", Molly becomes recluse and is forced to take maCers into her own hands. |
