SRP 2010 REVIEWS (3): #1) I LOVED this book! It was a touching story, written from the heart, that focused on faith, friendship, love and trust. I think that anyone with faith in God would enjoy this book as much as I did. #2) Regardless of one's religious beliefs, this unusual true-life story will inspire all readers. Without giving away the plot, it's beneficial to listen to the book if one wants to hear the difference in aural perspective from the two author's different places in society. #3) It was tough reading to start, the switches between characters and past and present...but well worth it. I'm not generally a nonfiction reader but this was incredible. Everyone should read this to learn about history and compassion for our fellow man. I was astounded to learn modern slavery existed in the 1960s!
