Summary Recent sustainability regulations in the EU and some U.S. states hold consumer packaged goods brands responsible for the environmental impact of the materials in their products. For brands with a complex web of suppliers across the globe, gaining visibility into the chemical composition of their products is a major challenge, and most available tools are insufficient for the task. The authors explain how brands can improve supply chain transparency to adapt to this emerging regulatory landscape.
