Summary |
Dial a deadly number: The Avengers investigate a new device called a "Bleeper", designed to help millionaire businessmen keep in touch, but used by an unscrupulous entrepreneur to "reach out and kill someone." Man-eater of Surrey Green: When a man-eating intergalactic artichoke transplants a slew of eminent horticulturalists, Steed and Emma stalk the pernicious pod and cultivate a plan to uproot the wily weed. Two's a crowd: When Russian agents employ a double of John Steed to infiltrate a defense conference, the Russians soon find out what the world now knows--there's no substitute for the original Avengers. Bonus episode Too many Christmas trees: A brainwashing was the last thing Steed wanted for Christmas, yet he finds himself immersed in the role of Sydney Carton, with Emma playing Oliver Twist in this Dickens of a challenge for the Avengers. |
