SRP 2012 REVIEW: I liked this book because of how Catherine (the main character) became friends with Jason (a boy who can't talk). It's a very nice story about how two people who are totally different can be friends.
Rules: An Awesome Book X

The plot of this story is that Catherine just wants a normal life. She tries to make friends and do anything we do on a normal day, which is have fun. But all the things Catherine wishes she could do get ruined when she too ignorant to realize her own shocking behavior. During this whole book she is forced asking herself one question: What "is" normal? The theme of this book is that you shouldn't be embarrassed of yourself or others because no one is "normal". The genre of this book is realistic fiction because all the events in this story could happen. For example, a girl can have a friend with a disability. I give this book a 4 out of 5 because it was a touching, heartfelt, funny, and inspirational book, but it didn’t have very good vocabulary. This book would be appropriate for kids in grades 4-5 grades because younger kids might not get the concept of this book and anyone older might find this book too easy. Here are some of David's Rules:-Chew with your mouth closed.-Say “thank you” when someone gives you a present. (even if you don’t like it)If someone says “hi”, you say “hi” back.-When you want to get out of answering something, distract the questioner with another question. -Not everything worth keeping has to be useful.-If the bathroom door is closed, knock. (Especially if Catherine has a friend over!)-No toys in the fish tank.

SRP 2010 REVIEWS (2): #1) I thought that it was a good book but still could use a little more action. Don't get me wrong but it was a good book I loved the deatails in this book.If I could I would read this book over and over and over again.YOU SHOULD REALLY READ THIS BOOK #2) This book was about a girl named Catherine who had an autistic brother named David. When she goes with him to occupational therapy, she meets a boy named Jason who can't speak. She also has a next door neighbor friend who just moved in named Kristi. She tries to balance it out in two different worlds. One world is with David while the other one is in the outside world.
