Game consists of several kinds of cards. There are 13 purple Linchpin and 19 blue Ripplepoint cards, which together form the beginning (and true) timeline, running from the assassination of Abraham Lincoln in 1865 to the Columbine school massacre in 1999. They are laid out in a grid which functions as a game board. There are 14 ID and 10 Mission cards, each player gets one of each kind. The rest of the cards control play; there are 22 orange Patch, 19 light green Artifact, 14 blue Action, 9 pink Time warp, 18 yellow Inverter, and 2 dark green Gadget cards. |

| Summary |
Players are time travelers, each with a secret mission, a secret identity, and a hand of 3 cards. Players travel around the timeline adjusting significant events in history (via Inverter cards) and patching them (via Patch cards) to restore a given time line. They also occasionally take a special action or are given special abilities; and they collect artifacts from history along the way. All is done via drawing and playing cards. There are 3 ways to win: the 3 key events listed on a player's ID card must appear in the time line; or the 3 artifacts listed on a player's Mission card must have been collected; or a player has managed to collect a hand of 10 cards, when 3 is the norm, possible to do only if a player does a lot of patching. |
