Summary |
Because of the way raw materials such as iron ore, copper, and aluminum are produced and sold, most consumer-facing manufacturers don't know much about the provenance of what goes into their products. What's needed is a market for responsibly produced commodities - akin to the already robust systems in place for coffee and chocolate.
