He meets the wife that was lost at sea seven years ago and presumed dead ; Mr. & Mrs. Smith: New York sophisticates David Smith and Ann Smith née Krausheimer have been lovingly and passionately married for three years, or so they believed. They are told individually that due to a technicality - an unresolved municipal and state jurisdictional issue at the time of their supposed marriage - their wedding was not legal, and as such they are not really married ; Woman of the year: Sam Craig is a down-to-earth sportswriter a newspaper. Tess Harding, the paper's international columnist, makes his life miserable and they start taking swipes at each other in their columns. Soon their problems are overcome by the fact that they are falling in love ; Instant love: Pamela, an American film star, falls in love with coffee grower, Claudio, while in Brazil. When the two are hastily married, they find themselves entwined in a clash of cultures. |
