Summary The American craft beer industry is unlike any industry ever seen before in America. It began its rise during the worst economic crisis in America since the Great Depression. In 2012, as the craft beer movement was sweeping the country, a team of visionary young filmmakers with a passion for both documentary film and craft beer, set out to tell the story of how the American Dream is alive and well. The feature-length documentary film, Crafting A Nation, is the result. Crafting A Nation profiles a wide range of breweries, from a few still in the construction phase, to some of the most established craft breweries in the nation. To make a craft beer you need four ingredients: water, barley, hops and yeast. But perhaps the most essential ingredients are the passion, creativity and determination to start a business and in the process, to return the heart and soul to a local community - that is what truly defines a craft beer. Craft brewers are truly rebuilding the American economy from the ground up. While making great beers they are also creating jobs, tax revenue, and helping rebuild cities. Their vision and entrepreneurship is building a better tomorrow for their families and communities. Filmed in California, Colorado, Texas, Missouri, Delaware, Massachusetts, Minnesota and North Carolina, Crafting A Nation features breweries, small businesses, and individuals across America. Individuals with passion and dedication. Individuals with the single-minded focus and determination needed to beat the long odds presented by the economic downturn. Crafting A Nation is about the craft brewing movement, but it's much more than that. It's about entrepreneurship, vision, and the American Dream.
