Summary |
In this posthumously-published philosophical novel by Franz Kafka, the protagonist, known only as K, arrives in a small town. He has come there to work as a land surveyor, and soon learns that the town is run by the enigmatic residents of the looming castle. Throughout the novel, K seeks entrance into the castle, only to be frustratingly rebuked. |
