Title Rapunzel : the one with all the hair / Wendy Mass.

SRP 2013 REVIEW: In a twist on the classic story, Rapunzel finds herself imprisoned in a tower by a witch, away from her parents, and with only a cat for company. Prince Benjamin, stuck inside a castle, has a mother that babies him, a father that expects more, and a cousin that's determined to get him in trouble. Both search for ways to escape, and discover things they never dreamed of on the way. Wendy Mass stuns me again with a compelling novel in her Twice Upon a Time series. The book had much of the original details, yet added new components to the story. Another five-star book written by Wendy Mass, Rapunzel is an amazing read that I hope you will enjoy.
