Summary |
Cox Architecture originated in 1962 with buildings that drew inspiration from the Australian farm and industrial vernacular, most notably Tocal Agricultural College in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. Cox Architecture: Transitions in Landscape traces the evolution over 50 years of a practice that was committed from the outset to a genuinely Australian expression of contemporary architecture - from projects as diverse as the Yulara township at Uluru, the Sydney Football Stadium and the Adelaide Oval, to the structurally organic Brisbane office tower, 11 Eagle Street. With a growing international presence, this documentary reveals an architectural firm that has remained true to its philosophical origins. |
